[Just a short message, this. Lavi's voice sounds tired yet oddly blank, as if he can't find it in himself to be upset anymore.]

Two-spot is gone too.
[There's a clearing of a throat, yet the voice sounds rather unused. Because for a week it hadn't been used at all.]

Lavi here, just saying that I'm back and lessons will continue like normal. First group, I'll see you tomorrow, second group the next day. I'm still not up to having a class right now. However if you need help with something I'm on the top floor, room 905. Sorry to all those I worried, I just...needed to get away. [Again.]

I see that we got another new round of people, sorry that you're stuck here with us. But we can always use more hands on getting this place ready to survive another winter. My name's Lavi and I'm the resident encyclopedia if you will, I know a couple of languages and am in the process of teaching Russian to a fair number of your fellow kidnapped. If you'd like to join up, let me know. If you have any questions not answered, you can ask me if you like and I'll try to answer them the best I can. Our normal Q&A-er for newcomers has managed to get himself lost again.

[Private to MIKK (AU)]

You mind having a spar with me, I still need to let out some steam. I'd ask Kanda but... Not ready to see his face yet.

[Private to CROSS and/or LINK (DGM) and ALLEN (if he's around)]

Have you seen Allen lately? I don't think he's gone home, Libitina should have left some kind of marker if she had lost her hold on him or something.

[Private to LENALEE]

Are you still here...?
I know that some of you have expressed an interest in learning the native language around here. And I know that I've already offered to teach a fair number of you. General Cross - while helping us with other tasks - also knows the language though I'm not sure that he'd like me much for offering his lessons as well, so I'll keep it to just me. We'll need something to do in the winter months and lessons seemed like a good idea on keeping warm.

So far I know that I'm helping both Almas, Kiriko, and
[Insert a name here that mun forgot because her memory is not like Lavi's.]. And I'm still helping Yorda with her English.

I'm going to go search around the school tomorrow and see if I can salvage what hasn't already been salvaged for writing materials and the like. If I don't find anything I'll be taking the chalkboard I put up on the bridge asking for aid down and use that. But the lessons will encompass speaking, reading, and writing of the language as well as learning their currency. We don't know when it might come in handy.

If you'd like to sign up, feel free to say so. We'll probably be meeting after noon to make the most of the light outside until winter.

[The view from the PDA is almost in the same spot as last time it was all accidental, but if it were daylight you'd be able to tell it was much further in the destroyed city. Lavi is barely in frame but the dark makes it hard to see what he's doing, the only way you know for sure that it's him some random light catches a bit of the red of his hair.

He seems to be talking to himself.]

Alright, so the seals I don't use all that often work.

[A dark shadow, a hammer, is hefted over his shoulder.]

Let's see if you can still give a little bit of fire, yeah?

[He brings the hammer down against the ground and among the sound of the impact "hi ban" might be heard. Any other noise is swallowed by a large pillar of fire raising up that has a snake's head, winding around and lighting up the area. That is before it rams into the side of the old police station.

The poor abused building finally crumbles, having been his target for the other seals. Lavi huffs and leans on the hammer's handle, the head on the ground.]

Good, still got everything then...

[[ooc; This post should've been up earlier but was distracted.]]
[FILTERED TO: Members of the Black Order (plus Howard Link and bitty-Alma Karma, AUs also included)]

Er...guys?

I... I can't get Tettsui to activate. At all. [Mutters:] Maybe I broke it... It's still in one piece and I don't think it took it's choice back but... I had to use the stairs yesterday and today because of it.

[/FILTER]

Is anyone having problems using their powers or weapons or whatever from home?
[Lavi is standing in the heavy rain, hair plastered to his head as the PDA somehow manages to catch his entire form from its perch. It's sheltered somehow from the rain, left there so it wouldn't get damaged as he just stands there. His clothes are wet enough that no one would think he just walked out moments ago and the feed itself continues for a long seven minutes before Lavi even moves.

He lifts his head and glances to the west, probably across the river. Then behind him, up at the apartment building maybe?

Without a single word he walks off out of view, leaving the PDA behind. Heading east.]
[When the feed clicks on everything is quiet and it's dark, but still light enough from the glow of the PDA to see what is being done to a one (1) Allen Walker.

Someone has in their hands a black marker and is scribbling pictures and some words on the young Exorcist's face. There's a smiling sun in one spot and a tree in another, some "open" eyes on the closed eyelids, maybe something that more closely resembles a beansprout? One of the words scribbled looks like 'debts' or something of that nature.

A quiet laugh and the feed ends, but anyone familiar with him at all will recognize it as Lavi's voice.]

[[ooc; Lavi thought there was a need for laughs. So. You get this. El okay'd it. |D]]

[There's just a shot of a rather pretty river pebble, the size of a worry stone or something. And then a rather gruff voice from behind.]

You can have it whenever we can see again, Rhode. Because I still have no idea where you are, nor do I care to know.
Uh... Well, aside from the fog, lack of shelter, and the creepy whispers late at night... [Pauses. Lavi, why'd you bring that up?

Coughs.]
What I wanted to ask is how is everyone? And if you've managed to find out exactly where you are in the city...

Granted it'd be a bit hard to meet up but if we can get some idea of where everyone is, where the buildings used to be... It might make things easier? I've already gone up into the sky but I couldn't find a break in the fog even a mile up.

Just...a thought. Probably a stupid one, but we don't know how long this'll last. Or what'll come out of the fog to get at us. Might be best to find someone or as many as we can and stick together, yeah?

[Silent for a little longer, as if mentally reviewing what he said.] I'm...along the river pretty well north of everything.

[He cuts the feed out. And then a few moments later it's back on.]

Oh, Kanda's birthday made me think of something. I know there are a few here I'm not familiar with but birthdays? We could do little parties for everyone if we've got the opportunity. Make the gloomy time here better...

[EDITED IN A BIT LATER//TEXT]

Everyone, if you can hear the river, head toward it. If you can find the bridge, even better. We'll all try and meet there, alright?
[HELLO, ALL.

You get a shot with no sound at all - okay, that's a lie, someone is humming "happy birthday" - of a wrapped package in front of a door.

After a while of "studying" the package and its plain, brown paper, the feed suddenly shifts up to the door itself. And you get a lovely shot of 406.

The humming stops. The feed stops.]

It's not much, but happy belated birthday, Yu.

[[ooc; Kanda's gift is a new hair tassel. :D And a piece of candy.]]
[Everyone should have found a small bundle of food and some first aid items wrapped in a blanket. It was separated to make sure that everyone got the same amount of the items. But there was an apple in every bundle! And if there are pets, some extra food for them.]

[Hours later]

Hope everyone got everything alright, made sure the rooms were occupied before I left things. It's all that was in the first pile of leavings at the bridge. I know some of it might be stale but it's all that they cared to leave us.

[Grins] At least we know there are some compassionate hearts out there.

[Hesitates a moment, unsure if he should lock this or not and decides not to.] Karkat, if you guys have the words you want in the pamphlet ready I've found some paper that'll work for what you want.

[Another pause] Anyone know if Allen and two-spot are back?
[Once again there's the sound of seagulls and waves crashing on the shore. Only this time there's a picture to go with it!

The sun is shining just barely over the top of the water and even with the fog and everything it does look rather beautiful. If you like that sort of thing. And just before the orb gets too blinding it turns on to the owner.

Lavi grins.]
Ain't it beautiful? This is what you guys're missin stayin in bed!

[A voice grumbles offscreen and Lavi looks over curiously and then grins again, idea in mind.]

Look! Even Badou came out! [Turning the Forge now on the other redhead.]
[The feed clicks on entirely by accident that is the Mist controlling the Forges. It's of a shot of the docks and the redhead famous for wandering around them with a fishing pole in hand.

Right now the Forge is too far away to pick up words but a male voice does call out from behind Lavi and catches his attention. So he looks back and grins, waving even at the person.]
[The forge clicks on in the middle of a lesson it seems.]

--ight, now that we've gone over what ta do. You step out 'nd with Tim's help 'll get ready for it. Yeah?

[The scene itself is mostly obscured by some rolls of bandages and some bottles of medicine, one can barely see Lavi's mop of a head and Allen's shock of white.]
